Grandparenting Group

Younger generations are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.

THE WHAT

This study was created by Crescendo, a ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Church, and it assists boomers and beyond to engage more intentionally with your grandchildren, teens, and young adults, in your sphere of influence.

Session One: Perspectives on grandparenting and the grandparent identity

Session Two: Understanding the ages and stages of younger generations

Session Three: Developing and Nurturing relationships

Session Four: Creating a Legacy

THE WHY

According to the Fuller Youth Institute, every young person needs 5 adults in their lives who will encourage them, model an authentic faith, pray for them, and “be in their corner.” That means every young person needs MORE THAN their parents active in their lives.

THE WHEN, THE WHERE, & THE WHO

Each session will be led by John and Gina Timpani, members of Harbor Covenant Church, every Tuesday in June online through ZOOM.

• Session One: June 7, 2022 | 7:00 – 8:30pm
• Session Two: June 14, 2022 | 7:00 – 8:30pm
• Session Three: June 21, 2022 | 7:00 – 8:30pm
• Session Four: June 29, 2022 | 7:00 – 8:30pm

This group is open to all people in the generations of boomers and beyond who have grandchildren or younger people in their life they mentor. You do not have to have biological or legal grandchildren to participate in this group. You do not have to be connected to Harbor Covenant either.
