Instead of worshipping at Swift Water Elementary School on July 2, 2023, we will be serving in our community.
We are hosting three projects:
Yard Work at the Arbuthnot’s Home
They are a couple in their 80’s with a beautiful but large property, some of which has gotten to be too much for them to keep up with. Both have also suffered physical set-backs recently and are physically unable to do any yard work at this time. We’ll be working on primarily weeding and yard clean-up.
(Need 6-8 Adults)
Yard Work at the Mueller’s Home
Cyndy and Karl have both experienced significant physical challenges in the last year. Karl has been in and out of the hospital and neither are capable of maintaining their property. We will be mowing the yard and weed eating along with possibly straightening some things up and organizing some things at their property.
(Need 6-8 Adults)
Mulching the Nature Trail at Evergreen Elementary
This project will involve completing as much as we can the mulching of the nature trail that we have cut into the back property at Evergreen Elementary school. A couple of teams of 3 will walk the trail to ensure that the blackberries have been cut back appropriately and the path is as smooth as possible. This will entail doing some weed eating, and maybe some digging out of any roots or stumps that are still protruding above the surface of the walking path. Everyone else will then be involved in transporting the mulch in wheelbarrows, and spreading a layer of the mulch throughout the entire trail. This is a kid friendly project and entire families are invited to participate.
(No size limit)
Serving others is a way we can love others, but it is also away to show them that God loves them too.
We hope to see you there!!!!
