SUPPORTED MISSIONS

These are the organizations to which Harbor Covenant provides financial, prayer and/or volunteer support.

COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS

Mission: To work with students who struggle to succeed for a variety of reasons to help meet whatever needs they have.

Programs: Little Eagles – After School Reading Mentor Program Tuesdays 4-5pm, Volunteering in the Classroom, Birthday boxes, Adopt a Family

NW FURNITURE BANK

Mission: NW Furniture Bank helps restore hope, dignity and stability in our community by recycling donated furniture to people in need.

Programs:
Furniture Bank: Willing furniture store partners and local donations provide a steady source of furniture which would otherwise end up in the dump or sold at a loss. They serve victims of domestic abuse, people suffering loss from fire and natural disasters, foster homes and especially families coming from transitional housing who are trying to rebuild their lives.

Spring Back Mattress Recycling NW, a division of the NWFB was created with three purposes in mind:
1. To create employment opportunities
2. To divert mattress waste from the landfills
3. To provide re-purposed mattresses and a revenue stream to NW Furniture Bank

Hope Furnishings is a non-profit retailer of new, used & vintage furniture & decor donated by private parties, community friends & corporate partners. All proceeds directly benefit the work and mission of the NW FURNITURE BANK.

CYAK

Mission: To serve youth and young adults through Christ centered ministry, partnership, and discipleship to raise mature believers who will lead generations to come.

Programs:
Aarrigaa- Provides services as support groups and housing for youth from rural villages as they transition to college in more urban locations. Anchorage serves as a hub for students coming from the dozens of small, isolated Eskimo and Indian villages in Alaska.

Covenant Bible Camp- a Christian youth camp serving Alaska Native children between the ages of eight and twenty-four years old from villages spanning over a range of 1,000 miles from over twenty rural villages spread over the Western coast of Alaska. The summer camp program helps them have fun and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

CAMP STAND BY ME

Mission: Easter Seals Washington provides exceptional services to ensure that people with disabilities and families in need have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play.

Programs: Camp is about all the things children and adults can do — swim, ride horses, sing, eat s’mores and more. It has camping & respite programs to provide a safe, barrier-free environment for children and adults to experience all aspects of camp without usual limitations.

YWAM HONOLULU

Mission: YWAM Honolulu is a Christian community that mobilizes missionaries to transform Oahu and the unreached world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Programs:
Ministering to the communities of Oahu: homeless shelter ministry, homeless evangelism, school volunteering, University evangelism, mercy ministry in a Micronesian refugee colony, and community service at Kualoa ranch.

Discipleship Training School (DTS): welcoming students from around the globe to train to become missionaries. From DTS, dozens of teams have been sent out around the globe to spread the gospel.

YWAM TURKEY

Mission: To train, equip and send people as missionaries, and to share the gospel and disciple those in YWAM Kona and all over the world.

Programs:
Discipleship Training School Kona: for young adults teaches them about Jesus, disciples them, and trains them for missions. Student teams are then sent out across the world to share about Jesus, and do works of compassion, mercy and justice and making disciples.

Turkey Mission Team Plant (2022): This will include recruitment, more in-depth missions training, continued development of the vision for the team, and the practical sides of an international move.  The team will be focused on disciple making of young people and church planting in Turkey, building a prayer house, and developing and distributing Bibles amongst the unreached of Turkey
